Periodically we’ll feature one of our vendors here to let our readers know about some great people who can help you plan the perfect wedding:
Hi, I am Diane Stredicke, owner of Hudson River Photographer, and I celebrate the legalization of same sex marriage in New York!
I am thrilled to see the number of gay and lesbian couples marrying in New York City, Westchester and the greater Hudson Valley region. Every time a gay or lesbian couple contacts me, I do a little happy dance. Seriously!
About a third of my clients in the 2013 season are gays and lesbians, and I couldn’t be happier. Next year, I hope it will be closer to half!
What does this mean to you?
I understand the small ways same sex weddings are different from straight weddings. All weddings celebrate love and commitment, but gay and lesbian weddings sometimes take fun and unique paths to saying “I do”.
I work to keep my photography artful and authentic. Most of the day, I am simply photograph what I see: your family, your friends, the candid moments that make up the story of your wedding day. I spend time with you to create natural portraits of the two of you that showcase the fun and unique couple that you are!
Choosing your wedding photographer can be difficult. We are the one vendor that will be with you most of the day. Spend some time looking at the photos on my blog – I post every wedding and show lots of images, so you really get a sense of how we work.
Call me or email me today and I’d be happy to talk with you about what we offer, my photography style and pricing.
I work in the Hudson Valley, New York Metro, Connecticut and the Berkshires in Massachusetts.
My work has been featured on “On A Bicycle Built for Two”, “gayweddings.com”, “So You’re EnGayged!” and in the newly published book, “Capturing Love: The Art of Lesbian and Gay Wedding Photography.”
I look forward to learning more about your wedding day!
